Sotetsu Fresa Inn Seoul Myeong-dong

If you want a hotel that puts you right in the heart of Seoul’s action, this is it. I’ve stayed with the Sotetsu chain before in Japan and had such great experiences, so choosing them in Seoul was an easy decision — and it did not disappoint. The location is absolutely mental — you literally walk out the doors and you’re at the start of Myeongdong’s main street, surrounded by food stalls, shops, and modern Seoul vibes. For Skincare lovers you’re also met with one of the most popular Olive Young stores right across the hotel, and within five minutes you’ve got every convenience store brand you could need. I can’t count how many times I popped back just to drop off shopping bags or take a quick break from the heat before heading back out. It’s incredibly convenient for long days exploring. The rooms are spotless, modern, and super efficient — everything has its place. Even though it follows that compact Japanese-style design, the space absolutely suffices. The beds are comfy, the bathroom is pristine with excellent water pressure. The staff were all so friendly and professional, making check-in smooth and easy. An extra luxury is the express check-out, where you can check out with a single button in your room. At night, when the street food vendors are setting up, stepping outside puts you right in the middle of all the action — it’s such a unique experience. Between the unbeatable location, modern comfort, and value for money, this hotel is a no-brainer for anyone visiting Seoul. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

I got the Corner Twin Room, which was spacious compared to the rest of the rooms at Sotetsu. It was right on Myeongdong Walking Street and was quite. The room layout, as a corner room made it feel more spacious by the way. There were some places to hide luggage and the corner windows also helped with the spaciousness. They really designed the rooms in a smart way to help increase the space.

Amazing location, in the heart of shopping area Olive Young store (Korean “Sephora”) is next door 😍, airport express bus stop is in 5 min walk. Automatic check-in and check-out process. Super clean, lights in the room operated from a tablet by your bed. Two types of electric outlets available for 220 V and 110 V… a mini fridge in the drawer (never saw that in my life!!!). Breakfast voucher can be used any time, even for lunch or dinner - you choose.

The hotel is literally in the Myeongdong shopping street. Near to everything. Subway, bus stop, convenience store, fast food chain, restaurant, pharmacy and more. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Facilities are exceptional. Unlimited free brewed coffee everyday. A lot of free amenities for their guests, from hair brush, bath salt, water bottles, skin care, night wear and utensils. They also have a microwave that can be use by the guests. Rooms are very clean and smells really nice as well.

Had a good and pleasant stay here. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with tidy rooms and a convenient smart TV with apps available. The location is excellent, right in the center of Myeong-dong, though it can be a bit tricky to find at first. Despite being along a busy street, there was no noise disturbance thanks to the high floors. It is on the pricier side, but very convenient since it’s close to Myeongdong Station, where many day tours depart. Overall, a comfortable and practical place to stay in Seoul.
